portfolio project week 8 (3/28-4/3) post #2

the editing process (so far)

Although I didn't edit myself, Grace walked me through everything she did so I want to share it. First, I airdropped her the videos (we took them on my phone) and she put everything in but it was 2:39 (I think) so we decided to cut out scenes of the props that were meant to further establish setting. I wish we could've kept it in, but they were the least important shots out of all of them. Grace also tightened the editing. As for the sound, we decided to edit all sounds in afterwards, even dialogue. Dialogue is commonly the only sound filmed during the first shooting of a film, but since we were using my phone to film we decided the quality would be better if we added it in afterwards.

The majority of our opening is just dialogue but once Patti is in the hallway on her way to the bathroom the music starts. I don't have it on hand because Grace's brother (he made it) has to remake some parts of it, once I have it I'll post it. The original was absolutely amazing, but I felt it was too dramatic and the buildup was too quick for such a short amount of time. In the meantime, time to work on the credits and transferring the screenplay.
