The Beginning of the Beginning
I think I'm finally getting an idea of what we're doing!!! I saw a couple of student examples in class on Friday and Phantasma by Shannon Sin stuck out to me. Looking through her blog, I saw that the establishing shot was foreshadowing for why she has her nightmares. I know I shouldn't over complicate it, but I want to strive for greatness. I definitely want to focus on a psychological take for the opening because I think I can work with that the best. Here's the doc I never got to upload a pic of yesterday:
Anyways, here's an overview of what I think is gonna happen. Also, my current stroke of inspiration is running off of dr pepper and dumb dumb by somi at full blast on my tv so I'm sorry if none of this makes sense. Alright so, character driven story. The therapist is obviously the main focus and the patient doesn't really matter so we need to figure out how to establish that. Therapist is a (seemingly) put together adult woman but there's something wrong with her. Maybe she kills the people her patients complain about? She's obsessed with a patient? Hm. The story revolves around who she is in relation to her career. Her career is her life. I should probably write this down on the doc instead of ranting.
I'm gonna research some more and text Grace to be sure we're on the same page. I'll be back after work and hopefully make more sense.
